Husband and wife duo, Silhouette Song, built their first full-length album on driving banjo parts and honest lyrics. “The Rock and the Sand” is layered with both folk and rock influences, as well whispers of bluegrass and country. Transparent lyrics feel like journal entries, exploring themes of depression, doubt and romantic love, alongside expressions of hope, faith and praise. This album is authentic and powerful, challenging the lines of genre, with both its sound and its content.
